We all know that weight loss is not easy. I know it isn't easy because I have battled my weight since I was a kid. First thing to remember is to be sure that you are losing weight for the right reasons, for you, not because someone thinks you should. I tried that many times because someone thought I was to fat. And what I lost, I gained back plus 10 pounds or more. Last year I decided that I was ready and wanted to lose weight for me. Because I wanted to make that change. Since April of last year (2005) I have lost 52 pounds. It was and still is by the far one of the hardest things I have ever done. I still have more weight to lose, but I'm getting there.
There are a lot of diets out there and a lot of pills you can take, however, there is no such thing as a miracle diet. The most important thing is exercise. Watch the junk you're putting into your body, but most importantly exercise. It actually gets addicting after a while. I have so much more energy when I exercise, not to mention I am thrilled when my clothes start getting to big. Keep in mind I am by far NO expert, I'm just another person who has issue's with their weight and want to change. I am just learning to love and accept myself. I am who I am.
Anyway, the whole point of this section is for anyone who wants to share their thoughts, feelings, struggles, tips, and what-have-you over weight loss. Or if you need some encouragement we are here for you. We would love to hear some success stories also! I strongly recommend that you be sure to consult with your doctor (if you haven't already) before starting any diet or exercise program. Better safe than sorry.
