 " Ode To A Soldier "

Ode to a soldier whom

stands proud and tall....

A sleepless night due to

another battle call....

Just to save America

I took a fatal fall....

The mercy of a soldier

the blood upon His hands....

Run and fight the enemy

to save our pilgrim land....

So strong are we to die for you

But does it make us the better man ?

The tear stained blood, the sleepless nights

The bombs exploding, the war all around....

I rest not in the shelter of warmth

I sleep upon a cold bitter ground....

Will I come home to my Family are

Be another statistics not to be found ?

I've heard my Mother's voice,I've heard

my Father's plea,I've saw my Children cry....

I am strong and courageous

I have my Father's pride....

I pray that I'll come home

And fear that I might die....

I live not my life in vain with

the precious time I had on earth....

And the saving of America

is what my life was worth....

As I lay upon a cold battle ground,I

felt a hand lift me up toward Heaven to

take me home to rest....

I am a true Soldier

I really did my best....

God Bless America

I stood her earthly test....

I am a true Soldier that

fought the battle of war....

I stood the grounds of battle

to save your life this far....

I died alone

My body was battered and scared...

So tonight I ask of you,

Pray for our soldiers life....

So God will hear those midnight cries

And bring us home to our loved ones and wives....

As I close this poem of mine of

A soldier and his will to fight....

Bow your head in silent prayer

And give honor to those whom gave

up their lives to give to us

Our Freedom and Rights....

Don't forget our soldiers and the

Glory they deserve,go now and fire

up a candle tonight....
