I've lost a few people who were close to me. The one that really hit home and first person who died that I was close to, was my Papa. He was more like my father than my grandfather. But his death came suddenly and unexpectedly. It was hard to cope with for a long time. I honestly believe that I never thought he would die. Until the day he did. That was a big wake up call for me.

I have a lot of regrets because I was young and stupid and didn't see him very often before he passed. (I thought I had all the time in the world, WRONG)  I never got to say I love you one more time. Or tell him how much he really meant to me. My Nana tells me, he knew. (She always said I had him wrapped around my little finger lol) That brings me some piece.

He was a great big, giant piece of my heart and I miss him every day. So be sure to let those you love know it. And don't wait until "tomorrow" to make that call or visit that you've been planning. Because you never know, they just may not be there tomorrow.
